English: This half term in English, we will be reading ‘A Bear Called Paddington’ by Michael Bond. We will be exploring Paddington’s adventures and writing our own narratives.
Science: In Science our initial topic will be ‘Animals Including Humans.’ With particular focuses on the bodies nutrition, the muscular and the skeletal systems.
Maths: In the first half term we will be focusing on Number: Place Value and Number Addition and Subtraction. We will be performing tasks with number up to 3 digits long.
Year 3 Half-term 1: ‘How we change through time’ Art & Design: In Art we will be focusing on the artist, Iris Scott. As a class we will be exploring, developing and evaluating work through the use of paint. Design Technology: In design technology we will be focusing on cooking and nutrition. Planning the stages of food preparation including planning the ingredients, equipment and utensils.
PE: In PE this half term we have 2 sessions of PE lead by West Lancashire Sports Partnership. We are focussing on the 7 fundamental skills.
