English: In English, this half term our focus text is called Man on the Moon by Simon Bartram. We will be learning the story and creating our own version. We will link our English text to our History work. After our story writing we will be writing a non- Non-Chronological report.
Science: Our science unit this half term Is called ‘Use of Everyday Materials’. We will be looking at ships and how they float, the strength of different materials, changing materials and materials in history.
Maths: In Maths this half term, we will be starting our money topic and then moving onto Multiplication and Division. In addition to our maths lessons we are also going to be working on learning the 2x 5x 10x table.
Year 2 Half-term 3: ‘Explorers’ Art & Design: In Art this term we are researching and learning about Yayoi Kusama and working on printing. Design Technology: In DT this term our unit of work is called mechanisms and our focus is wheels and axles. We will design and make a moon buggy.
PE: In PE this half term we have 2 sessions of PE .We are continuing to learn the 7 fundamental skills.
