Maths: Position and Direction Describe turns, describe positions. Place Value up to 100 Counting to 100 by making 10s, counting forwards and backwards within 100, introducing the 100 square, partitioning numbers, comparing and ordering numbers and one more, one less.
Money Recognising and counting in coins. Time Before and after, time to the hour, time to the half an hour, writing and comparing time.
RE: In RE will be looking at Christianity (Church) and answering the question, ‘How might some people show that they ‘belong’ to God?’
English: This half term our English will focus around the book ‘No-Bot the Robot. We will have a go at writing our own story in a fantasy setting and write a recount of No-Bot’s adventures. We will also use our recount skills to write a recount of our trip to Blackpool Zoo.
Year 1 Half Term 6 Summer 2: ‘Robots’ Science: In Science, we will continue to look at Everyday Materials. We will learn to distinguish between an object and the material from which it is made. We will also learn to identify and name a variety of materials, describe their properties and compare and group them. As the weather gets nicer, we will also continue our learning about Seasons as we begin to move into Summer.
PE: In PE this half term we have 2 sessions of PE lead by our PE Coach- Mr Winrow. We will be continuing with our learning of fundamental skills.
