English: This half term we will be focusing on stories with a familiar setting. We will be enjoying Winnie the pooh – House at Pooh’s corner. We will be focusing on the structures of our sentences whilst writing our own version of the story.
Year 1 - Summer 1: ‘ The Great Outdoors ’
Science: In Science we will be looking at Plants. We will start by looking at the parts of a plant, we will them look at what plants we have around our homes and school. We will finish the topic looking at different types of trees and understanding what trees grow in our area.
PE: In PE this half term we have 1 session of PE lead by our PE coach on a Monday. We are continuing learning and perfecting the 7 fundamental skills. This half term we also have Forest School lead by Mrs Cole. RE:In RE will be looking at Hinduism and be answering the question, ‘What do Hindus believe about God?’
