This half term we will be enjoying the book ‘Harry the Happy Mouse’. Harry The Happy Mouse is a cheerful, traditional story about a mouse called Harry who lives in the colorful English countryside. Children will be learning how to be kind to each other and help others. We will be writing our own adventure stories and innovating with our own ideas.
Year 1 Half Term 1 Autumn 1: ‘The Great Outdoors’
PE: In PE this half term we have 2 sessions of PE a week. We will be continuing with our learning of fundamental skills.
Science: In Science, we will be looking at Seasonal Changes and observing how our seasons change throughout the year. We will also be looking at the weather associated with each season and going outside to experience weather first hand.
RE:
We will also be looking at the human body and our 5 senses.
In computing, we will start to explore Purple Mash and learn how to group and sort.
In RE will be looking at Christianity (God) and asking the question: ‘Why do Christians say that God is a ‘Father’.
