Principal’s Welcome

Newsletter

Welcome to the first newsletter for the academic year 2022/23. This week we saw our new Yr7 students complete their very first half term at LHA. What a great start they have made to their 5-year journey with us. They are all working hard to ensure that they gain as many CAP points towards their Bronze certificate. I know, after meeting parents on Wednesday night, that not only are the students feeling a part of the LHA family, but that parents are too. It was a pleasure to hear so many parents talking about just how much their child has settled in at the academy. Thank you to all the staff and students across the year groups who have helped to make the Yr 7 students experience such a positive one. At the other end of the 5 years at LHA, we have our newly appointed Head Students, Becky and Harry, who have kindly shared a little about themselves as a way of introduction, see article on page 4. Wishing you all a safe and restful half term. Mrs Gorman Principal
