We launched our new house system in October 2021. Every child who joins Longbenton High School becomes a member of one of four vertical house teams; they will stay in that house throughout their time at our school. Students coming to us in Year 7 will find out which house they have been allocated before they arrive in Year 6. We have four houses: Alnwick, Bamburgh, Dunstanburgh and Warkworth. The aim is to have a 'family' within the whole school 'family', with mixed vertical forms from Year 7 to Year 13 spending time together every Friday morning and looking out for each other across the school. Our new house captains are preparing to come out to visit KS2 students with LHS staff in the Spring Term .
