Format and Rules
Welcome to the U11 Lancashire & Cumbria Boys' Hockey Tournament. We hope you all have an enjoyable day of hockey.
Squad Size & Games:
Maximum of 10 players per squad
Match Timings:8 minutes each way
2-minute half-time
Rolling substitutes
Tournament will be centrally timed
In2Hockey Rules: will apply throughout the games unless otherwise advised as below:
Players can only play in this age group, not older ones
Pitch 1 is near the entrance to the Astroturf, Pitch 2 further down the Astroturf.
First named team has push back.
Second-named team to wear bibs in case of a clash
No short corners – only shuffles (6 seconds) from the top of the circle with one attacker against the goalkeeper.
Teams to umpire their own matches
Format:
Round Robin
Points: Win 3pts Draw 1pt Loss 0pt
Overall standing and league positioning will determine Champions, runners up and overall place finish.
In the event of a tie:
Results between the 2 teams
Greater goal difference
Most goals scored
Sudden death penalty rush, if all the above do not separate the teams.
