Kirkburton Middle School Parents’ Bulletin - 14 October 2022 Headteacher’s Introduction Open Evening 2022 Always a highlight of the school calendar, it was great to see so many people at our annual open evening last night. From High School Musical to Bunsen burners, Countdown meets Count Dracula to home-made pizzas, you name it, and we had it. The atmosphere across the school was fantastic and the whole event was a real team effort. Our pupil helpers were outstanding and our staff incredible. Whilst it was a very long day for all involved, such occasions serve as a good reminder as to what a privilege it is to work in such a special and truly unique school. This was summed up perfectly in one email we received this morning ‘Thank you for the wonderfully informative and engaging Open Evening last night at KMS. Your school looks like a wonderful place to learn and grow’. Thank you to everybody for such a great night. Chris Taylor Headteacher

invaluable opportunity for parents to meet with their child's form tutor to discuss how they have settled into life at KMS. 2 Registration and payment for the Year 6 Christmas panto trip is now available. A letter with the details regarding the trip was sent out via email. Many thanks to those parents who have already completed the on-line registration form and made payment via Parentpay. The cost of the panto and coach travel is £21. If you wish your child to join us on the trip, please complete the payment and registration by Weds 21st October. If you have any queries/concerns regarding payment for the trip please do not hesitate to contact Mr. Parker (HOY 6).
