Holy Trinity Catholic Primary School SEND Annual Report to Governors September 2022 At Holy Trinity Primary School we believe it is essential to provide a well-balanced, challenging curriculum for all pupils. We are committed to ensuring that all pupils, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), receive their right to a high quality, accessible and balanced curriculum. Our aim is to provide all children with the best possible outcomes in preparation for life-long learning. We believe it is important that children acquire skills, knowledge and confidence that can be applied to all future learning experiences, including social, physical and spiritual development. We endeavour to raise aspirations and expectations for all pupils, including those pupils with SEND by working in partnership with parents/carers and listening to pupils. SEND School Profile At the end of the 2021/22 academic year SEND pupils made up 17.2% of the whole school population, slightly above national average, but lower than the Oxfordshire average. (National average = 16.1%, Oxfordshire County average = 17.7%, June 2022). At the beginning of the 2022/23 academic year our percentage is 16.1%. Notably we have doubled our number of students with an EHCP, having had a new pupil start with an EHCP, and successfully applying for a current student. We expect the percentage to rise over the year as early interventions in reception have already identified children with potential SEND. We also aim to apply for an anticipated two further EHCPs this year. July 2022 September 2022 32 27 2 4
