Churchtown Chatter Imagine … Believe … Achieve… Newsletter 6 – 2022
Next week is our final week in school before we break up for half term. Friday 21st October, is our first PTA fund raising event, where children can wear their own clothes or fancy dress (more details below) and in return we ask for £1 voluntary donation to PTA funds. The PTA is made up currently of around 8 parents and some staff members. We are meeting next Tuesday at 7pm in the School Lodge for our second meeting of the school year (all welcome to attend). We would love it if anyone new would like to join us and be part of the PTA, even if you only have a small amount of time to spare. The PTA help fund lots of things in school. Last year they took the decision to donate £800 to each year group to help reduce the costs for all children to attend their year group education visit. This year they have increased it to £1000 per year group, which is very much appreciated and will benefit each child, bringing down the cost per child for the educational visit. To allow for these funds to continue, we need to keep raising money and supporting the PTA. The children are thoroughly looking forward to the event next week. We discussed in assembly today that children can dress up but they are not to wear face paint, colour their hair, wear masks or bring in props. We also discussed that hats and head bands would be appropriate. Have a lovely weekend, Mrs Payne.
