Churchtown Chatter Imagine … Believe … Achieve… Newsletter 3 – 2022

We have had a busy week, even though it has been a four-day week. Lots of children have spoken about watching the state funeral on Monday, a day that will now be remembered and talked about as part of British History. Thank you to families who have signed the book of condolence for Queen Elizabeth II, which has been on the playground for the past two weeks. It will now be placed in school for children to write in, if they so wish, accompanied by a member of staff. The playgroup which runs on a Monday and Friday in the Early Years Hall from 8.50am to 10.30am has been really well attended for the last two weeks. Mrs. Cornish, one of our teaching assistants, runs the playgroup. We have had some returning families, but lots of new families also. Today we had six new families who had never been to our school before and had heard by word of mouth about the group. They fed back as to how lovely the group was, with the different activities, it’s cleanliness and the rhyme time. Thank you to Mrs. Cornish for her work at the group. Please come along to the group, if you require any more information please contact the school office on 01704 508500. Mrs Payne
