Churchtown Chatter Imagine … Believe … Achieve… Newsletter 5 – 2022

We have been celebrating the number of children who have applied to be Chief Champion in school this week. We had 43 Year 6 children who wrote a presentation statement, which they performed to their own class. From the 43, eight children went through to the final round, which then involved all classes voting for their Chief Champions. This concluded with our 4 Chief Champions for the year, which are listed, along with all children who applied, further in the newsletter. The 8 children who went through to the final vote have formed the Junior Leadership team and today they took part in their first role as Junior Leaders in our Harvest Assemblies in St Cuthbert’s Church. They will continue to support the school on parental tours, school open days, assemblies and ambassador roles for the school. It is fabulous to see the number of children who have put themselves forward for the role. They all uphold the school value of ‘Courage’ by applying for this position. We have celebrated the 43 children in assembly and with all staff. I felt very proud to have that number of children apply, showing clear attributes of resilience. Well done! Thank you for all the Harvest donations, the Foodbank are overwhelmed by the generosity, kindness and amount of harvest gifts – Mrs Payne.
