In Buddy Assemblies this week, some of the Year 6 children talked about their experience of Robinwood, which happened in December. The children enjoyed listening to the array of activities and the fun that they had. Coming up at the end of January is the Year 5 trip to Young Voices at the AO Arena in Manchester and later on in the term, Year 1’s educational visit to Liverpool (more information will come out about this shortly for parents). These visits provide great learning experiences, helps embed the knowledge to curriculum they are covering and provide fun and memorable events. A smart uniform is important to us in school and it helps foster a sense of belonging and equality. Please remember that our uniform states grey trousers or skirts and shoes not boots (trainers only for PE days). There is more information further on in the newsletter referring to uniform. We will shortly be starting to notify parents about any incorrect uniform and offer any support to help correct this, if required. Thank you to parents/carers who inform us of any achievements that the children have outside of school. We celebrate these in Friday Buddy Assemblies. The children really benefit from learning about other children’s hobbies. This can also be something to celebrate that children have achieved at home, not just through a club. BUDDY ASSEMBLY GROUPS Each week in the ‘Friday Praise Assembly’ we have been checking the totals of the Buddy assembly groups. Classes and children gain points for super behaviour.
