Churchtown Chatter Imagine … Believe … Achieve… Newsletter 10 – 2022

We raised £412.00 for Remembrance Day last week. Thank you to everyone who contributed! Thirty children came to the Remembrance service in Southport last Sunday and Finlay, our Year 6 pupil, was chosen to lay the school wreath at the Cenotaph for the school. We had lots of support from parents and staff at the event - thank you! Today we have raised money for Children in Need with our assembly focusing on the purpose of this charity. Pudsey made a special visit to our school and he went to see our youngest children in Nursery and Reception (see photos further down in the newsletter). It is starting to get festive in the local community with the Botanic Garden Christmas Fair this weekend on Sunday 20th November and the Churchtown Light switch on next weekend on Sunday 27th November. Churchtown Primary have a stall this weekend, so please pop by, say hello and play the games we have set up for you. Our choir are getting in tune ready for next Sunday for our performance around the Christmas tree on the green, outside St. Cuthbert’s Church. Have a lovely weekend! Mrs Payne
