Year 6 children have been to Robinwood and have had a fabulous time! There will be some very tired children this weekend, recovering from the fun and excitement that they have had. Thank you to the staff who have attended and supported the children on their visit. Whilst they have been away, the year 6 children who have stayed in school have been taking part in exciting activities, including a visit to Hatherlow House retirement home to sing carols to the residents. Year 2 have performed their Christmas performance, ‘Children of the World’ to an appreciative audience of parents/carers. Thank you for your positive feedback from parents about this. We look forward to Nursery, Reception and Year 5 performances next week. Wednesday is Christmas dinner day. There is further information about this, later on in the newsletter. For those children in Key Stage 2 who pay for their lunch, please ensure there is sufficient money on Parent Pay to pay for this (£2.35). Children can wear a Christmas jumper or t-shirt with their school uniform on this festive day. Thank you to the kitchen staff in advance for their preparation of the Christmas dinner. I am sure some families will be concerned by the recent increase in illness related to Strep-A. We have been and will carry on sending out regular updates from the public health department. Please do contact the school office if you have any confirmed cases of Strep-A within your household. In school we are reminding everyone of good hygiene routines of regular hygiene.
