Thank you to everyone for your contributions to World Book Day, the children had a brilliant day celebrating all things reading. Miss Morris, reading lead, had arranged a number of authors to visit the children virtually to talk about being an author, inspirations for their books and answering questions the children had. The classes also did story swaps, where class teachers went to read a story to a different class as well. Thank you for sending the children in with books that they could swap with their classmates, hopefully they brought home a different book to keep! We have posted lots of photographs both on Facebook and Twitter of fantastic costumes, both of staff and children. Sporting events are starting to appear in the school calendar with football matches taking place this week and practise for the forthcoming swimming gala next week. Our local schools’ games organiser, Kate Hulse, has arranged some intraschools tournaments for KS2 over the next few weeks including matball, dodgeball, boccia and new age curling. Have a lovely weekend, Mrs Payne.
