Headteacher Update 25/02/22 Dear Parents/Carers, Well what a first week back it’s been! Some pretty wild, wet and windy weather met us at the start of the week but fortunately school was able to open fully and it’s been lovely to see all the children back happy, smiling and ready to learn! Changes to Isolation Guidance This week the Government announced changes to the Isolation Guidance regarding those testing positive for COVID-19. The full guidance can be found here and I would urge everyone to read as it will change fundamentally the way we will handle positive cases in school moving forwards as we ‘learn to live with COVID’. I will write to you all with more information as I receive it over the coming weeks. https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/coronavirus-covid-19-list-of-guidance Parental Invites to Praise Assembly Before the Pandemic hit (virtually two years ago now!) we always used to invite the parents of those pupils receiving awards on Monday morning’s ‘Praise Assembly’ into school to share in that celebration time and congratulate their child afterwards. We haven’t been able to do this for almost two years with COVID rules, but with guidance changing from this week regarding Isolation (see above) I am delighted to say that from next Monday (28/02/22) parents will be invited again to come and share in this special time in school! At this time, we will only be able to accommodate one parent in each hall. The assemblies take place at 10:45am each Monday morning (as a working parent myself I understand and sympathise that not all parents will be able to attend due to work commitments). The juniors hold their assembly in the main hall and Reception/Infants in the Infant Hall. You will receive an email before the end of the day on a Friday letting you know if your child is getting an award from their teacher for something that week and we would like
