I am privileged to hold this position and I am totally committed to ensuring that our children get the best education and pastoral care possible to enable them to grow and realise their full potential. I am very proud of the children and how they are developing into outstanding citizens and feel blessed to have such a great staff who are highly committed and very enthusiastic. I have been a governor now for nearly 15 years taking over the role as Chair in 2014. I have worked in the private business sector as a senior manager for 25 years and since 2010 I have worked as a School Business Manager in Schools, as well as training School Business Managers for the National College of Teaching and Leadership. I more recently have moved to be a Supplier Relationship Manager at a large local university. I am married and have lived locally in Skelmersdale for nearly 30 years and have many family ties with the school; my son, daughter, nieces, nephews and now granddaughters have all been or go to Bishop Martin. I am a regular attendee at the Church across the road from the School, Christ the servant and play an active role there and in our community. We have a broad range of gifts and skills within the Governing Board, we also have a number of observer members, they fully participate within the meetings but are not allowed to vote, however, they provide additional skills and knowledge that really benefit our meetings. So below you can meet the team, we hope you know a bit more about us and what we do, please feel free to contact Governors through our email address, Governors@bishopmartin.lancs.sch.uk or you can arrange to speak to me or my colleagues by contacting the school office.
