Headteacher Update Friday 8th October 2021 Dear Parents/Carers, Harvest Donations I’d like to say a HUGE thank you for all the Harvest Donations made this week that will go towards supporting the Christ the Servant Foodbank. Please keep a lookout on our school Twitter feed, for pictures of our pupils delivering the food on Friday! PE Kit Reminders We use part of the school’s Sports Premium funding to buy in Specialist Sports Coaches from the ‘West Lancashire Sports Partnership’. These coaches deliver quality PE lessons to your children on a Wednesday or a Thursday. As well as this, your child’s class teacher delivers an extra PE lesson during the week. This was covered in the ‘Meet the Teacher’ meetings at the start of the year and the details of the PE days for your child can be found on your child’s class page on the school website. Please can you ensure your child has the correct, appropriate PE kit on their day (including footwear). The Sports Coach may not be able to allow your child to take part in the lesson as appropriate kit is essential and part of their policy. ‘Family Fridays’! As a school, we are really looking of ways to improve our links with the community and provide opportunities beyond the school day for families to get together. This is central to my vision as Headteacher, to grow the school as a ‘hub’ for the community. I’m delighted to say that from next Friday we will be starting a new….’Family Friday’! Starting at 3:15pm in the Junior Hall and led by Reverend Jack Shepherd from Christ the Servant (who your children know very well from his work in school with them!). It will last an hour and be an opportunity for lots of fun activities for you to enjoy with your children as a family.
