Trifle fit for the queen! To celebrate the Platinum Jubilee, Y10 made the Fortnum and Mason award winning Platinum Trifle over the course of 3 lessons. Working in small teams, they made Swiss Roll, lemon curd, a lemon and orange jelly, amaretto biscuits, fresh custard, a mandarin coulis, white chocolate bark and whipped cream. In the final lesson they assembled it in individual pots,

which they took home to enjoy. Many new skills were practised which hopefully they can use again in their GCSE practical exams next year.
