Please ask at the office for information on our Breakfast Club and Afterschool Childcare Club. Children can now be in school from 8.00am till 5.45pm enabling parents and carers to work knowing their children are safe.

98.4% for whole school attendance The minimum acceptable attendance is 96%. If a child misses 8 days or more a year they will not achieve 96% this is reportable to Lancashire County Council and may result in a Penalty Notice being issued. Please ensure your children are in school every day and on time. School starts at 8.55am.

The school kicked off the Year 5/6 football league this week with two unlucky defeats (3-2 vs Crow Orchard, 2-1 vs St Johns) and two amazing wins (9-0 vs St Edmunds, 2-0 vs Woodlands). It was a great start to the campaign and the players represented the school brilliantly! The team were: Harvey Brophy (Y6), Lloyd Bray (Y6), Joe Gibson-Collier (Y6), Aaron Jones (Y6), Lewis Bailey (Y6) Ben Kelly (Y6), Eva Smith (Y5), Tony Orfanos (Y5). Nursery Class Places Children aged 3 and over are entitled to 15 hours (5 sessions) free in the nursery. We offer flexible and additional provision for the children. You can choose when they come in and also pay £11.50 for any extra sessions over the 5. Please see the office for more information.

Daily Snack All children from Nursery to year 6 have the opportunity to have a snack at break times. Nursery and Reception children the cost is £1 per week payable on Mondays to the class staff. Y1 to Y6 are able to order toast or fruit for their break. The cost is 20p a slice of toast or 20p a small bag of fruit. This is payable in class on either a daily or weekly basis.

Job Vacancy

Fundraising

We have a vacancy for a Site Support Assistant, Grade 3 (Living Wage). The role will be a fixed term, variable hours contract. The hours will be 3.15pm – 5.45pm Monday to Friday. If you are interested in applying for the position or know of somebody who may be interested, application forms and details are available from the school office. The closing date for applications will be 30th September 2016.

We are starting up a PTFA (Parents, Teachers and Friends Association) to help raise funds for the children of our school. The money raised will go to resources and/or trips unless otherwise stated. If you are able to give up some time during the year and bring ideas to the group, please see Miss McKnight or leave your name and contact details at the school office.
