September 2016 Newsletter Message from the Headteacher We are very excited to be in a situation to share the latest plans for the building project. Blackpool Council have agreed the budget of £1.5m and the architects designs have been drawn up. We await the costings of all that we have asked for and then we will start to prioritise the work to be done. I have 3 D drawings to share and further details will be discussed at the Public Consultation meeting being held here from 4pm to 7pm on Thursday 29th September. Governors have worked hard to ensure the priorities include: 

Larger classrooms for the pupils.

Direct access to the outdoors for each class base.

Improved transport system through the site .

It is also necessary to consider the state of the roof and electrics within the project. The extent of what can be achieved this year will depend on the survey of the condition of the roof and the public consultation concerning the transport plan. Apart from that we are hoping to see the builders on site from January 2017 and expect that the work will be phased in over a 12 month period. In the meantime Toni is focusing much of her energy on bringing in extra funds through bids to enhance the phased project. This includes: 

Outdoor equipment to support Sensory diets for the pupils

New mini bus

Musical Equipment

Horseriding

Raised Beds

For more details please come along to the consultation.
