
FAM & DISCOUNTED RATE CRUISE CODE OF CONDUCT
Introduction
• Scenic and Emerald Cruises host discounted rate cruises and familiarization (FAM) trips to educate travel partners and staff about our cruise and tour operations.
• The goal is for participants to experience our itineraries exactly as a guest would and become knowledgeable ambassadors for Scenic & Emerald Cruises’ small ship experiences.
Expectations
• Participants are considered silent ambassadors of Scenic Group and are expected to always act respectfully and professionally.
• You represent your company, agency, and the travel industry during this experience. Professional conduct is expected across all touchpoints, including:
o Onboard the cruise
o During tours and excursions
o At partner hotels, restaurants, and local venues
o During transfers or interactions with local operators (Enrich, Scenic Freechoice, Discover More, etc.)
Please note:
• Fully paid guests always have priority for onboard services and activities.
• Respect crew direction and accept alternative arrangements when requested. This applies to all experiences with limited availability, including:
o Scenic Freechoice, Discover More, and Enrich activities
o Scenic Eclipse Helicopter & Submersible experiences
o Exclusive dining venues, spa treatments, gym access, or any other amenities

Confidentiality of Discounted Rates
• Discounted rates are a confidential industry privilege. Do not discuss or disclose your rate or costs with:
o Other travel partners or staff
o Guests or clients (before, during, or after the cruise)
Respecting Guest Experience
• Please be mindful of conversations held in public spaces.
• Avoid discussing work matters, client stories, or business topics in public spaces.
• Our goal is to protect the vacation atmosphere for fully paid guests.
Thank you for helping create a respectful, relaxed, and enjoyable onboard environment.
Alcohol
• Responsible, social consumption of alcohol is acceptable for participants aged 18/21+.
• Underage drinking will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the cruise.
• Excessive drinking or intoxication is unacceptable and may lead to:
o Immediate removal from the cruise
o A report to your manager
o Loss of eligibility for future discounted travel opportunities
Behavior
• Always be courteous and polite to staff, crew, and guests.
• Maintain professionalism in your interactions and alcohol consumption.
• The Cruise or Tour Director reserves the right to impose restrictions if behavior becomes inappropriate.
• Rude, aggressive, or disruptive conduct will be investigated and may lead to:
o Removal from the cruise

o Reporting to your manager
o Exclusion from future Scenic Group discounted travel programs
Dress Code
• Daytime (onshore): Smart casual attire appropriate to your destination.
• Evening (dinner): Smart casual at minimum — no shorts or thongs (flip -flops) permitted.
General Guidelines
• By booking a discounted cruise, you acknowledge and accept this Code of Conduct.
• All Scenic Group ships and public areas are non-smoking
• You are responsible for: Flights, Travel insurance, Visas and passports, Personal incidentals unless otherwise advised by Scenic Group.
Acknowledgment
By participating in a Scenic Group FAM or discounted rate cruise, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with this Code of Conduct and all guidelines outlined above.
