Activity 3: Self-reflection sheet Activity 4: Each group was given a ‘Living our values together’ printed table template 1.1 x 1m & chose where to complete... on tables inside and outside, floors and walls! Each table fedback 2 main points to Helen, and these were visualised on a map by Fran Activity 5: ‘Open Space’ session everyone was able to choose from 10 themes suggested by the staff. They chose which conversation they wished to join, and moved when they wanted to join another.

Really good day. Relaxed format and good venue. The best staff conference I’ve been at. Thank you  Best staff conference in my 18 years at CIH. Well done team! Great conference – well done to all the contributors. This year’s conference is much better than the previous ones. Catering not healthy option except fruit. Outcomes from the day are important. I hope that our work is truly translated into action! And is there any way we can do staff conference (on a smaller scale) more than one a year?

Please send an agenda earlier than a day before the event to allow staff travelling from the devolved nations to get earlier flights home. A good opportunity to meet colleagues and hear peoples view n CIH what is good and where to improve.

Thoroughly enjoyed getting to know everyone by face. It was a fun day & plenty of discussions with good outcomes.

Get a better venue next year. Great to meet colleagues from Belfast, Scotland and Wales – and not feeling scared to contact them with problems/issues now! Excellent venue with no pressure to perform Really great day – relaxing! Good to feel like we’ve been heard and appreciate our thoughts and ideas being heard.

I feel this year the ‘interactive’ sessions felt a lot more fun and relaxed compared to previous years where this felt a bit forced and awkward.

It was great to be able to come together across the UK. It was great to have plenty of time to chat to colleagues I don’t normally see or have time to talk to. It felt relaxed – none of last years tensions, phew! Excellent cake – thank you! A great mix of activites.

Very good event. Great opportunity to meet other colleagues, very positive.

Very enjoyable and informal even though it was discussing important issues.

A long way to travel for one day!

My level of agreement on the values dropped, but not for negative reasons. I dropped them to reflect that I didn’t understand them at start of the day and have new values to apply to my work.

Catering was not great. More healthy choice for lunch (but still nice). Not sure how the organisation will take the thoughts forward but overall a good day. Enjoyed unconference session. Great opportunity to get to meet other teams. Great informal approach. Shame the lunch provided was unhealthy. Very poor, my dietary requirements were completely ignored. Couldn’t see or hear most of the time. No healthy snacks/lunch/decaf drinks. Content good.

Unable to participate/see speakers, pillars were in front of table. As a new member of staff, this was a perfect opportunity to learn more about the organisation, and to meet staff from all locations. A fun way to work together, and bring forward ideas. Good venue, liked the informal approach of the day. Thank you for the cake  Good to meet other people from across CIH.

Great first staff conference, looking forward to the next one.
