WE LCOM E

This year marks 15 years since I launched Barefoot’s flagship Business and Personal Coaching course. This anniversary has given me cause to reflect on how much has changed since 2001. When I first started Barefoot, the idea of coaching was often met with ridicule and even opposition. Today many organisations aspire to create a coaching culture and I have begun to notice a coaching mind-set seeping into the media, education and healthcare sectors too. I’ve even noticed road signs which encourage us, in a coaching style, to “take your litter home, others do.” I’m delighted that in 2016 coaching is widely accepted as a valuable personal and professional development

intervention and I’m equally excited that there is still so much opportunity for the industry to continue to grow and mature. So, today I am inviting you to celebrate (without modesty) your personal contribution to the coaching industry. Share your success stories with other coaches today and take time to stop and acknowledge how much good you have done by being a coach. I congratulate you for your courage to do something meaningful in the world and for your commitment to your ongoing development, which is demonstrated by your being here today. Kim Morgan Managing Director Barefoot Coaching Ltd
