Metamorphosis

Given the addendum, intersecting volumes act as my north star concept throughout my process. The process also includes jumping back and forth between quick charettes and Revit in order to establish the highest achievable design.

North Star Concept: Intersecting Volumes

Exploring how volumes intersect each other gave birth to two more sub-concepts:

1. The relationship between positive and negative

2. Circulation of the program

These both began to emerge throughout the invention of the loft renovation - providing the foundation for a new way of living.

Entry Level Floating Courtyard Rooftop

Exploratory Section

A hand-drawn 2D section, that underwent an exploratory rendering by hand. The process includes both axonometric and perspectile views of how I imagined the space could be.

Eye On The Horizon

The project is centered around a sited guardtower to be multifunctional for work purposes as well as a domestic living quarters. My development of section views allowed me to think three dimensionally in order to activate the space.

Collaborate, learn, and recharge in one all-inclusive space.

The 5 degree slope is ideal for seamless presentations using the built in projector stand or informal lectures; all at the ease of requiring no furniture.

The wall component provides ample storage for all necessary supplies and appliances. The entire whiteboard surface is seamless with pull-out countertops and cabinetry.

A dynamic and collaborative learning environment centered around the concept of a multifunctional structure. The project seeks to redefine traditional notions of workspace and foster a collective spirit among students.
