VISUAL ARTS Students in the Visual Arts learn direct observation, cultivate a sense of self and personal vision, and use tools and materials to make meaning. Our program fosters trust in the process of both individual and collaborative growth and a consideration of historical and contemporary artist practices. We celebrate the joy in making, playful inquiry, and expansive thinking. Studying the visual arts is an interactive hands-on learning experience where students learn both the concepts and skills that are Curious? common to all visual arts disciplines. Students engage Scan the QR code to learn more their creative sensibilities on a daily basis, in tandem and in concert with their academic lives. Stoneleigh-Burnham students take at least two trimesters of arts offerings per year. The department offers fifteen courses offered in total from Middle School to Upper School.
