Dear reader,

Throughout my time at Syracuse University, I have worked on quite a lot of design projects. I spend most of my time within Creative Cloud working on assignments for classes, which have been mostly mock-ups for advertising ideas and executions. This design project has been a really fun exercise for creativity, as well as bringing a bit more of creative freedom and inspiration back into my design work.

I am so grateful that I have been able to make it this far in my learning of design to be able to produce a project such as this one. I feel that there is so much left for me to learn, and I am so excited to continue pursuing graphic design. This semester has been a rollercoaster of ups and downs, and

existential crisises about being an art director versus being a graphic designer. The idea of working forever and ever is scary, but you’re never working if you love what you’re doing. And for me, that’s hopefully designing more and more.

As graduation comes closer, I can look back and be proud of all of the work I have created, and admire all of my brilliantly talented peers I have grown close to. My older sister, Chiara, is pictured here, and is one of my best friends, who has helped guide my journey through life.

Within this magazine, I have used photographs my friends have taken while abroad, as well as names of different friends and people close to me.

Thank you to Morgan, Sam, and Jenna for the wonderful photography that let me feel connected to them while creating this piece. With Morgan and

Sam being in LA for the semester, it gave me an excuse to bother them both. Jenna, my first and current copywriter, thank you for your images from London. I know we’ll both work there someday.

Mom, Dad, Mia, and Lulu, I miss you all so much and can’t wait to see you so soon. And thank you to my best friend Jaysa and my roommate Maya, whose names I borrowed within this project.

Writing this is bittersweet. Enjoy virtually (or maybe physically?) flipping through my magazine, and I hope you enjoy seeing my semester’s work that has doubled as a passion project! <3
