MESSAGE FROM OUR MANAGING PARTNER
Team, We are beginning to settle into our new headquarters in Parsippany with our first two groups, Summit and Peak, re-entering the workplace. I’d like to again thank all those responsible for getting our new office up and running – through a pandemic, no less. Michael Rolls, Virginia Dennerlein, Frederick Delacruz, Sharon Bleibtreu and their teams did a tremendous job with the office build out and setting up a safe environment for our team. The pandemic added layers of challenges to an already difficult task, but they met those challenges head on and we owe them our gratitude. While we are not able to be together all at once at this time, our new office is a symbol of a fresh start when our world returns to some sense of normalcy. On behalf of Sax leadership, we welcome you to the next chapter for our firm, and we are very excited about Sax’s bright future ahead. Please find here some reminders for those heading to the office: For the health and wellbeing of all, you are allowed to go to the office on your assigned weeks ONLY. The office will be closed to all team members every weekend so a deep disinfectant clean can be performed.
You must complete the COVID-19 Screening form that will be emailed to you prior to entering the office. The cafÊ will be CLOSED – you will not be able to use the refrigerators or microwaves and the coffee/tea machines have not been installed. Once you arrive at the office, while following social distancing, use the temperature scanner, and upon receiving a normal temperature reading, proceed to the reception desk and check in. Floorplan maps will be available at reception to help acclimate you to our new office suite. While in the office, masks must be worn at all times. The only exception is if you are in your office with the door closed. At the end of each workday we ask that you wipe down your work area including your desk, items on your desk, and the arms of your chair with disinfectant wipes that will be provided. For any questions with regards to our protocols and procedures, or to request entrance into the office outside of your assigned weeks, please reach out to Sharon Bleibtreu or Virginia Dennerlein. October John King John joined the Sax team in November of 2017 and was promoted to Senior A&A Associate In June of 2019. He works primarily within the firms Not-for-Profit niche, but occasionally works with the firm's Manufacturing & Distribution niche. John also plans on earning his MBA and taking his CPA exam. Gail Hughes Gail joined the Sax team in March of 2003 and currently serves as a Client Service Associate and plays a vital role in handling client inquiries. Daily, she is processing tax returns and assists Partners in scheduling meetings with their clients.

This month, Kevin Sohr contributed to NJMEP’s “Manufacturing Matters” publication and wrote an article titled “Software as a Service Post-Wayfair” that can be found on page 36 here.
Effective January 1, 2021, we will be rolling back our email retention policy from 36 months to 24 months. At that time, emails older than January 1, 2019 will automatically be deleted and each day, emails older than 24 months will be deleted. Emails providing support to an engagement are to be stored in either Caseware (business) or GFR (individuals, trusts, and estates).

These are trying times for us all as the question of when we will resume “business as usual” is surrounded by uncertainty. In an effort to assist our clients when they need it most, we have created a “Wall of Support” which includes a number of organizations who could use our backing. We encourage you to explore to see if there is a way you can lend a hand, whether that be by utilizing their services or donating to their cause.
