Team, In review of our year, I can proudly say that we exceeded the goals we set out to achieve. Some of our most noteworthy accomplishments include the following: We exceeded our 2020 growth goals. We successfully navigated remote working during this pandemic. We had a successful transition to our new Parsippany Headquarters, while closing Clifton & our NYC offices. We finalized a successful technology joint venture with Safari to form S2 Technology Solutions which further diversifies our firm. We upgraded firm technology (Microsoft Teams) as an investment for our future. We were recognized on the list of America’s Best Tax and Accounting Firms by Forbes. We were named to INSIDE Public Accounting’s list of the Best of the Best Firms in the nation. We increased our rank to #98 on Accounting Today and INSIDE Public Accounting’s Top 100 lists of accounting firms in the country. We increased our rank to #29 on Accounting Today’s list of the Top 150 Firms by Assets Under Management. We’ve continued to drive innovation throughout the firm. We’ve continued to make investments in the firm’s future with new leaders in Quality Control and Trusts and Estates. These achievements are due largely in part to our team of staff and advisors, and our high standards for client service and expertise. It is a privilege to serve our clients and our communities in our wide-capacity, and it is a privilege to work alongside so many individuals who thrive on collaboration, results and success. Coming to Parsippany Procedure We have activated a new phase in the Skedda Reservation System. Starting January 12, 2021, if you’re planning to come into the Parsippany office you will need to reserve your space within 24 hours of your arrival. You will receive an immediate confirmation email from Skedda, then at 7am on the day of your reservation you will receive the Health Questionnaire link via email which will need to be completed PRIOR to coming to the office. The booking window for Partners/Senior Managers with offices has CHANGED from 7 days in advance to 24 hours in advance. This was necessary to make sure that the Health Questionnaire will be sent accurately. In order to prevent too many people from being in the office at one time, there is a cap set by the program, therefore it is imperative that you only book a space if you are definitely coming to the office. If you’ve reserved a spot and then change your mind, please delete your reservation. All full-time Parsippany employees/Partners of Sax have a dedicated workspace – please only reserve YOUR space. NYC employees/Partners, Senior Advisors, and employees without a dedicated space will receive further instructions on how to book spaces in Parsippany.

Great Cards
Candace Deosingh, Muhammed Khaled and Gianna Coscia are highly deserving of Great Cards for helping correct the tax section of Orb Caseware files in a timely manner in order to not hold up audit planning. 2021 BUSY SEASON
We are moving away from a strict hour requirement and to a Project Based Work Schedule. Tax February 8th to February 19th – 50 Charge Hours Per Week February 22nd to April 15th – 55 Charge Hours Per Week A&A Managers/Senior Managers – Busy season goal is 520 chargeable hours for the 13-week season from 1/18/21 - 4/16/21 Associates/Senior Associates – Busy season goal is 650 chargeable hours for the 13week season from 1/18/21-4/16/21 The 2021 guidelines are as follows: All team members will continue to take a one-hour lunch break during the busy season. The core hours of the office are from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Paid Time Off cannot be scheduled: For the A&A team from January 11th to April 15th For the Tax team from February 8th to April 15th Knowledge transfer and training (i.e., training so work can be pushed to seniors and associates) Business Managed and/or Engagements worked on Client service (Client Service Delivery Model) Realization; attainment of budget Technical expertise and growth TEAMS Meeting While Working Remotely – New Firm Policy As many of us will be working remotely as a group on engagements, we have heard of great success with other firms using TEAMS meetings to conduct their remote engagements. Let’s all commit to our new firm policy of setting up a TEAMS Meeting for the day, so you can interact almost like you would if you were all in the same room. Time Release Daily While it is always important, we can’t stress enough the importance of releasing your time daily so managers can monitor progress on the job
