MESSAGE FROM OUR MANAGING PARTNER
Team, It’s hard to believe we are now entering the 4th quarter of 2020. It seems like it was just yesterday we entered the new year and our new, unprecedented challenges were unfolding. Yet in a similar vein, we’ve been through so much and it’s been a long journey. As we approach the October 15 deadline, we can look back at the successes that we had in this unusual tax season and be proud of how we took care of business and delivered upon our promises to clients of superior client service. A time such as this is when true advisors emerge, and if we can find any silver lining, it is that we have demonstrated our worth as we helped our clients face these troubles head on. We are working hard to ensure a speedy and safe return to our offices in the next few months. I look forward to finally returning to some sense of normalcy although I doubt our working world will ever be the same. As we move forward, we can feel secure knowing we have the infrastructure – whether that be our personnel, our technology or the foundation of our client service model – to weather any storm that comes our way. I hope that you and your family continue to stay safe, and I sincerely thank you for your dedication to our firm and those we serve.

Sax Savings and Investment Plan
We are pleased to announce Sax’s contribution of $942,608.87 to the Sax Savings and Investment Plan on behalf of all eligible employees effective September 14, 2020. This includes two retirement benefit programs offered by the firm: a 401(k) matching program and a 3% profit sharing contribution. Eligible employees can log into their Alerus account to view amounts credited for the 2019 plan year. Please see the Employee Handbook for more information and eligibility requirements about these benefits.
Kathleen Alexander accepted Sax’s award as a “Champion of Good Works”. Sax was chosen by CIANJ for this honor due to our on-going commitment to St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital.
Congratulations to Kathleen Rutch on her inclusion on Crain’s 3rd annual “Notable Women in Accounting & Consulting” list for New York City based on her career accomplishments, mentorship of others and involvement in nonprofits and community organizations. Read the full article HERE.

Sax's Virtual Volunteer Day We invite you to participate in Sax’s Virtual Volunteer Day on Monday, October 19 as we come together for a cleanup of our communities. Litter can be found on our roadways, in our yards, and in our common areas such as parks and schools, as well as in local natural areas such as woods or streams. It might seem a bit overwhelming to tackle the litter problem in your area alone, but even these small efforts can lead to an improvement in your local environment. What: Company Clean-up of our Communities! When: Monday, October 19 Where: Pick a spot (consider your ability to maintain social distancing) like the streets of your neighborhood, a nearby park or playground, etc. Instructions: Grab some gloves and a garbage bag and clean up your community! Take a photo of yourself in action and send to marketing@saxllp.com. Take before and after photos so we can showcase your hard work!
