MESSAGE FROM OUR MANAGING PARTNER
Team, I am pleased to announce that through the efforts of our sponsors, our donors, and our event participants, we were able to reach our goal of $70,000 for St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital through our 7th annual 4 Miler event held on October 6. This is no small feat. Our goal this year was our highest ever, and this large contribution will significantly benefit the workings of the Child Life Department which is dedicated to relieving the stress and anxiety of the hospital’s pediatric patients through quality of life programs. To all those who contributed their time in planning and volunteering at this event, who made donations, and who worked to secure our event sponsors – we sincerely thank you for all of your efforts in making this event such a success. In addition, St. Joseph’s mentioned that they are in awe of the work we do here and asked that we extend their sincere gratitude to everyone at Sax for what we accomplished at this year’s 4 Miler. FIRM ANNOUNCEMENTS Inside Public Accounting (IPA) has released their list of Fastest All-Growth firms across the country, ranked by the change in a firm’s net revenue from the previous reporting year. Our Real Estate team held their Industry Update event on 11.1, and their distinguished panel discussed the current and future state of the New Jersey Real Estate market. It was well attended and the feedback has been great!

GREAT CARDS Shortly after returning to Sax from her time away, Anna Vilinsky (under short notice) stepped up to complete the accounting and prepare the tax returns for a client. In addition, the controller who normally does the bookkeeping was in the hospital, so Anna had to meet directly with one of the owners to compile all of the information necessary to prepare the Caseware files and tax returns and meet the 9/17 filing deadline. Carole Lombardi consistently goes above and beyond in her position. A BAM representative states, “I just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know how much I appreciate Carole's organization and her efforts in making the SAX Quarter-End as efficient as possible. I work with almost all BAM firms and I can say confidently that the SAX Quarter-End is the most efficient of all the bigger BAM firms. Her efforts make our job a lot easier. We have even had the idea of bringing her on a webinar for all of the large BAM firms where we will interview her and ask her what she does to allow SAX to have such a smooth quarter-end every single quarter."
Jessica Peralta's first major firm event was the 4 Miler and she went above and beyond to ensure it was a huge success. From the coordination, to showing up as the sun was rising the morning of, Jess made sure even the rain wouldn't interfere. Being such a public event for the firm, it’s critical that every detail was accounted for and Jess truly did a fantastic job. Sax met its goal, which was the largest donation ($70,000) in our race history to St. Joseph's Children's Hospital, positioning the firm for even bigger things next year!
Gregory Lewis went above and beyond to help the Marketing Team with this year’s 4 Miler. Year after year, Greg dedicates his time to the event by offering a hand prior and the morning of. He was at the mountain very early to help set up and volunteered his time to stay after and pack everything up and bring back to the office. Without Greg, a lot of this could not have been possible, and we sincerely appreciate his help.
Jefferson Zotamba demonstrated hard work and leadership at our 4 Miler this year. He was a great help the day of the event and was willing to help wherever it was needed. He helped make the day run smoothly and successfully. Jefferson’s contribution to the event is extremely appreciated.

During the holidays, Family Intervention Services (FIS) provides meals and household items to over 800 children and families and they have requested our support. We will be collecting canned goods, paper products, baking goods, personal hygiene products and household products such as laundry detergent and dishwashing liquid soap up until November 13. Due to a shortage of freezer space, in lieu of frozen turkeys, grocery store gift cards for $20-$25 would be appreciated so families can purchase the turkeys in time for the holidays. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
