Sax Team, This has been an eventful last few months. On behalf of all our partners, I am thrilled to announce Sax’s successful addition of David Weiss CPA, PLLC, headquartered in New York City, effective July 31. This is an exciting time for both our firms. With over 100 years of collective experience, the combination of Sax and David Weiss will strengthen our presence and capabilities in the NYC marketplace and expand our tax expertise. I ask that you extend a warm welcome to the 3 partners and 16 staff members who now join our Sax family. The teams are working diligently to ensure that a seamless transition can be expected. The team at David Weiss CPA will eventually join us at our brand-new NYC Sax office space, and we look forward to working together towards our common goals under the Sax banner. Sax’s mission is to grow organically, as well as through strategic mergers with like-minded partners to become a Top 50 firm in the next 5 years. Our past, present and future alliances are established with great care as we make sure to identify firms who align with our service philosophies, our team culture and commitment to client service. We found a terrific match with David Weiss CPA, one of the leading firms in the tri-state area, and we are very excited about joining forces.

These individuals have done a fantastic job living out our core values daily, and meeting our high standards of client service and productivity. They have demonstrated great contributions to our firm and are deserving of recognition. Please join me in congratulating these team members on their achievements, and wishing them the best of luck as they settle into their new positions. Read on for a full list of our 2022 team member promotions. Thank you to everyone who joined us at our Summer Picnic, and for those who could not make it – you were missed! We are very grateful to resume our firm outings after two years of the pandemic. It was refreshing to spend time with so many new faces, see your growing families, and celebrate with our co-team members. Our Summer Picnic and other firm-held events are not only a way to take some deserved time off, but as we resume growth and expand our team, they are a way we can stay true to our roots as one Sax family. Gathering at our Parsippany headquarters, especially with our remote team members and families from across the country, provides us with a way to connect and witness our team in full. Vilma received her Bachelors in Business Management from William Paterson University, and plans to finish her Master's degree. Vilma started as an Accounting Support Associate. Fun fact: Vilma is very interested in astrology and learning more about herself and others.

Drew received his BS in Accounting from Robert Morris University and his Masters from East Carolina University. Drew joins the Sax team as an A&A Associate. . Fun fact: Drew was honorably discharged from the US Army Reserve in 2021 after 9 years with the rank of 1st Lieutenant.

He also has a concentration in Computer Architecture & Electronics and Embedded Systems. Ryan joins the Sax team as an IT Support Specialist. . Fun fact: Ryan has a pet hedgehog named Chief, who is 4 years old.

Great Cards Matthew Goldstein went above and beyond the call of duty on a matter regarding a PPP loan application submitted by the client. The client made several mistakes in the application. Matt was able to not only clean up the documents to submit to the SBA for review but was able to articulate to our client the errors in his previous submission. To top it off, the client received a notice of review on April 21st and did not forward the notice to us until the 29th of April. Matt was previously scheduled on another client matter. He found the time and put in the effort to accomplish the task on time and at a high level of service.
Dan Davidson did an outstanding job during tax season and he continues to impress. Dan always goes above and beyond, is a quick learner, and is an asset to the team. His work product and the smart questions that he poses while working on engagements are impressive. Dan has been a great addition to the team!

the 4Miler benefiting st. joseph's children's hospital We are so happy to announce that our 4 MILER at Garret Mountain Reservation run/walk event to support St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital will be held on Saturday, October 1. As always, 100% of the dollars we raise goes to the hospital’s Child Life Department to provide high-impact therapies that help mitigate the negative effects of treatment and hospitalization for pediatric patients with chronic, life-threatening or terminal illness.
Our firm goal is to raise $70,000 for the children at St. Joseph’s – and Sax will match every employee donation!
