Team, I hope you've all had a wonderful summer. I wanted to take this time to share some exciting news with you. Recently, Sax has been recognized by INSIDE Public Accounting (IPA) as a Best of the Best Firm and the #94 public accounting firm in the nation for 2021. This is truly something to celebrate as we have been recognized as a top performer within the profession producing superior results, long-term sustainability, and growth. Other accolades we’ve received this year were from NJBIZ who ranked us #96 on their list of the top 250 privately held companies in the state, and #14 on their list of top NJ accounting firms. Accounting Today ranked us the #95 accounting firm in the country, #43 on their "Wealth Magnet" list of top firms by assets under management, the #19 top Mid-Atlantic firm, and named us a “Regional Leader”. Construction Executive ranked Sax #25 on their list of top accounting firms in the nation with a Construction practice. Great Cards Schoenstani Gil has definitely earned a Great Card. The client was so impressed with the work she did and the follow up on details from her over the past year. This is a new area for her, and she stepped up and really managed the engagement and helped complete the assignment by the due date. The client specifically stated that it was a pleasure working with her. Jessica Gutierrez is deserving of a Great Card on her efforts in processing a 4,000 page tax return that had to get out quickly. Originally, the return was assigned to someone else who could not do it. Virginia re-assigned the return to Jessica. She had to finish the return at home and she processed the return and sent it in at 10:30 pm. Great, hardworking team member!

Breana Maher is bright, energetic & enthusiastic and did a terrific job on an extremely difficult corporate return. Working with Breanna and people like her is invigorating and I welcome opportunities to do so in the future. She is a true difference maker!

Great Cards Alexandra Hoff deserves a Great Card for her work with a client on the funding of her profit sharing plan. This is a complex plan. The plan was finally funded and the client appreciated Alexandra’s patience and knowledge of the plan details. The client was very pleased with her work. Thank you Alex!

Victoria Hochman works late at night and weekends to meet strict deadlines. This work ethic is typical of her. A huge thank you to Vicki for all her hard work and dedication!

Shivani Jain, CPA, MST Shivani joined the Sax team in January of 2004 and serves as Partner-in-Charge of the firm’s Tax Department. Shivani also leads the firm’s Cryptocurrency Practice and is an important member of the firm’s M&D & Cannabis Practices. She frequently authors articles and speaks on panels, podcasts and webinars on current developments and issues related to tax.

Stephen Tellian Stephen joined the Sax family after the merger with the Hunter Group in 2017. He works mainly within the firm’s Construction Practice, but has also assisted in engagements within the firm’s Employee Benefit Plan Audits Department, Manufacturing & Distribution Practice, and on investment banking engagements for Sax’s newest division, Sax Capital Advisors.

Getting Started

Beginning September 1, 2021, to activate your Peloton membership, click the “Get the Code” button that will appear in your United Healthcare account on www.myuhc.com.

Follow the prompts to confirm whether you need an access code for a Digital Membership or an All Access Membership waiver (this applies if you already have an active Peloton membership).

After you receive your code, you will be directed to the Peloton website to complete your enrollment.

Our next walking challenge, “Across The USA” will start on October 20th. This will be a Team challenge.

You are invited to stay active, healthy and have a little fun along the way in this activity challenge.

Your goal is to walk 6,500 steps a day during the challenge, from October 20th to December 19th.
