SPRING 2024

SAVE MOUNT DIABLO’S DIABLO RANGE EXPANSION

Scott Hein

What if we told you another 20,000 acres of the Diablo Range could be protected in the next 18 months? We’re expanding the scope of our work; our advocacy will now cover the whole Diablo Range. Our acquisition focus is still on the area north of Corral Hollow to Mount Diablo, but we are now open to land gifts, conservation easements, and other interests to the southern Santa Clara County line and Pacheco Pass Area. PROTECTING THE GINOCHIO SCHWENDEL RANCH We’re delighted to announce that we have officially signed an option agreement for Ginochio Schwendel Ranch!

Cooper Ogden

This property borders two of our protected properties along Marsh Creek, creating a larger continuous protected area within a critical wildlife corridor on Mount Diablo. Learn more about Ginochio Schwendel Ranch: bit.ly/Schwendel

RIDE THE ROAD TO MOUNT DIABLO’S SUMMIT Riding a bicycle up to the summit of Mount Diablo is an unforgettable experience. On a clear day, you can see for up to 200 miles in all directions.

Mel Bearns
