Thesummerseason hasofficially kickedoff, and whatastart we'vehad! Memorial Dayweekendwasbuzzing - from theTattnallYouthFishingTournamenttoa beautifulBlessingoftheFleetand BBQ ontheBluff. Our SYCteamknocked itoutof thepark witheveryevent, and wewrappedupthemonthbyhosting a D12 Laser Regattaregionalevent.
With theseasonunderway, theSunsetBar& Grill isnowopenonWednesdays andThursdays, giving memberseven more time toenjoy sunsets, good company, and greatfoodfromThursdaythroughSunday.
On thedocks, Steward EricJacobsenand thedockscommitteearelaunching Phase II ofourfiveyearplantokeepourwaterfrontintopshape. Keepaneyeout for Eric's updateintheBurgee-especiallyifyourboatison theWilmington Riverside - so youknowwhat toexpectasthisimportantworkcontinues. Oncethisphase is complete, theschedulewillrollright intoourlongtermmaintenanceand capital planbeingdeveloped toensureour facilitiesstayintheexcellentconditionour membersdeserve. Juneispackedwithactivitiesforyouandyourfamily. ThealwayspopularWassaw Beach Party iscoming uponJune13th-getreadyforaday ofhot dogs, hamburgers, sunshine,andofcourse...thelegendaryeggtoss. Our court sportsteam hasa full lineupoftennisand pickleball funall monthlong, includingaFriday nightmixeron June12th. Preparationsarealsounderway fortheJuly 4thweekend, and it'sshapinguptobe a fantasticcelebrationofour country's 250thanniversary.
