Supplemental Courses

In this course you will focus on the roles and operation of major financial institutions. These include banks, and the financial markets and systems in which they function, as well as those involved in the creation and use of fiat and digital forms of money including cryptocurrencies.

Learn how to develop a financial plan and value a project or business. This course will also cover topics such as how to raise capital for your firm, the right financial mix, and how to pay back investors.

This course explores advanced topics in finance and builds upon what you will learn in Fundamental Finance.

Students must complete at least one of the following additional courses as part of the Finance Career Track. It’s important to note that electives, including track and general electives, are not necessarily offered every year and are subject to change.

This course is centered around the rapidly growing, global concern of climate change and how the mitigation of or adaptation to climate effects have an influence on finance.

New technologies continue to disrupt and revolutionize how finance functions are performed. This course covers a range of topics that illustrate how FinTech providers and users employ technology to create new financial products and transform financial services.

Venture Capital

This course covers all the stages of investment in early-stage highgrowth companies, from the seed funding of a novel idea to venture capital rounds to a successful exit, be it an IPO or through mergers and acquisitions.

Mergers & Acquisitions

Learn the economic motivations for M & A activity, advanced valuation, transaction structuring, creative financing, risk management, tactics for friendly negotiations and hostile transactions, due diligence, and execution.

Investment Management

This course investigates current topics at the frontiers of investment management, including real-world examples, implementation of potential investment and trading strategies, and investigating new innovations and technologies.

Risk Management

Learn risk-responsive frameworks such as Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), the overall role risk plays in managing corporate performance, and how to identify and analyze risks through case-based learning.
