The call for entry for this exhibition said: “Blue is the color of the sky and sea. It is often associated with depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven.” Artists were asked to make abstract or representational works inspired by “blue”. Pieces were created by artists from the New Mexico region of Studio Art Quilt Associates and represent a variety of perspectives and approaches.
