SANTA MARIA VALLEY CHAMBER MONTHLY NEWSLETTER STRENGTHENING, BUILDING & EXPANDING LOCAL WORKFORCE THROUGH PROGRAMS & PARTNERSHIPS The Santa Maria Valley Chamber recognizes that workforce development is a crucial component in strengthening our local economy, ensuring businesses have access to skilled labor, and providing residents with the tools they need for career success. By connecting education, industry, and community stakeholders, we are helping build a strong pipeline of qualified workers for our local jobs, empowering local talent, and fostering a thriving business environment. The Chamber has a number of programs and partnerships we have recently created or expanded to help address workforce needs in our community. The Chamber’s NextGen CEO Program helps local youth understand what it takes to “be their own boss” and start their own business. The six week digital program teaches participants skills including product development, marketing, money management and customer service.
