The Santa Fe College Art Gallery is delighted to partner with the Bob Rauschenberg Gallery at Florida Southwestern State College to present this traveling exhibition curated by Jade Dellinger. This major museum survey features previously unseen original artworks by the legendary, late and highly influential Beat Generation author/artist William S. Burroughs and his longtime friend and frequent collaborator David Bradshaw. Coordinated by SF Gallery Manager Brynna Bat.

An Entertainment: The Amazing Adventures of Louis de Rougemont (As Told by Himself) by Donald Margulies

Ever longed for adventure? Has the horizon beckoned you to chase its promise of excitement and danger? Then join us this October as Santa Fe College presents Shipwrecked! An Entertainment: The Adventures of Louis de Rougemont (As Told By Himself). Five actors portray numerous roles (including a hero dog) as they bring to life the fantastic true story of a ship lost at sea, flying wombats, and buried treasure, as told by the man who lived through it all. Produced by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service (www.dramatists.com). Directed by Assistant Professor of Theatre Matthew Lindsay.

The opening presentation of the Young Dancers Workshop will feature a lecture-demonstration by Urban Bush Women BOLD (Builders, Organizers & Leaders through Dance), including a special Collab Lab performance by the Dance Theatre of Santa Fe and the University of Florida dance program.

The Santa Fe College Singers, under the direction of Mitch Rorick and Wendy Gunther, Adjunct Assistant Professors of Music, will perform holiday favorites from different decades and styles including classical, jazz, pop, and gospel. They will be joined by the Gainesville Youth Chorus.

SF Performing Arts, SF Teaching Zoo, SF Planetarium, and SF Little School collaborate to bring a thrilling performance that captivates both young and adult imaginations. Join Perry the Mouse and Santa Claus on a magical journey through the forest to make it snow in the Jackson N. Sasser Fine Arts Hall! Enjoy familiar holiday music during this interactive and educational performance, followed by a meet-and-greet with the animals in the lobby. This January Santa Fe College invites you to take a journey with us as we present An Evening of Broadway, a collection of scenes from some of The Great White Way’s most memorable plays. This student-directed and acted showcase will feature scenes from such playwrights as Arthur Miller, Neil Simon, Suzan-Lori Parks, and more. Coordinated by Assistant Professor of Theatre Matthew Lindsay.

Join New York-based cellist Julia-Hyunji Lee and Boston based pianist Andrew Barnwell for an evening of dynamic and expressive duo repertoire. Having first met at the renowned Perlman Music Program, the pair brings a deeply collaborative spirit to the stage, presenting a wide-ranging program that highlights both the intimacy and power of the cello-piano partnership.

Electronic polymediast Stephen Beck is an American artist who has been sculpting video and multimedia works with electrons since the pre-digital era, beginning in 1967. A pioneer of video synthesis and interactive video art, his works are held in the collections of major art museums around the world. This exhibition includes a selection of Beck’s “video weavings,” along with a variety of other multimedia pieces. Curated by SF Gallery Manager Brynna Bat.

Bringing big band jazz to the dance halls of Santa Fe, we invite you to come out and enjoy the sounds of 1920s & 30s swing jazz by the SF Jazz Ensemble & Jazz Combo.
