Check out the ROOTS STAGE for lessons on beneficial bacteria, spirulina farming, heirloom grains, and more.

Where: Roots Stage on west side of festival by corner of Sola and Santa Barbara When: Saturday, April 16 and Sunday, April 17, 2:00 p.m. Two Kraut Mobs will engage attendees in making sauerkraut and learning the importance of taking care of the human microbiome (gut) and the Earth’s microbiome (soil) via beneficial bacteria, organic farming, and eliminating pesticides. Presented by Santa Barbara Fermentation Festival.
LOCAL BEER & WINE GARDEN
Location: East side of festival along Micheltorena Enjoy delicious, cold beer from Firestone Walker Brewery and local wines like Summerland Winery, Gainey Vineyards, and more. Select items will be served in the Beer & Wine Gazebo. Take a green step and opt for a reusable steel pint from Community Environmental Council to reduce plastic cup usage–$12 for a cup and a beer, while supplies last.

Bring our future leaders through the One World Archway to enter the ecoextravaganza of KIDS CORNER where art, gardening, face painting, and so much more await. Enjoy expanded programming on the KIDS STAGE, including youth performances, storytelling, Mariachi Las Olas, Son Jarocho band Colectivo de Sones, and a new production by Zach Gill: the Nautical, Tropical, Semi-Astronomical Earth Day Adventure. Where: Starts at Main Stage and ends at Kids Corner Stage When: 2:10 pm on Sunday, April 17 Musician Zach Gill and 7-foot-tall environmental advocate Snook the Eco-Sloth will lead the KIDS MONARCH MARCH to activate youth and families in the fight against climate change. At the end, speakers will engage the crowd in taking steps for the climate. Get decked out ahead of time in KIDS CORNER by making signs with Explore Ecology and butterfly wings with Learningden Preschool.
