Year after year, we set our sights on a lineup of events, competitions and athletic showcases that are guaranteed to bring more talent, excitement and energy to the Sanford Sports Complex. This season is no exception, and we’re excited to once again pack the house with the best fans around, including you!
On the basketball court, entertainment is a slam dunk. You’ll see professional play from the Skyforce, entering their 12th season at the Sanford Pentagon, plus highcaliber high school and collegiate-level competition. This included a full slate of Division I men’s and women’s games throughout November and December.
Our volleyball fans were in for a huge season, too. For the first time at the Pentagon, we served up a major AVCA First Serve doubleheader, featuring the defending national champion, Penn State, back in August. This nationally televised event also included powerhouse programs from Kansas, Minnesota and Texas A&M. And in December, the NCAA Division II National Championships returned for the second year in a row.
Beyond the court, we hosted big MMA cards, major wrestling contests and so much more. Be on the lookout for music and entertainment announcements throughout the year and bookmark sanfordsports.com for easy access to all your Sanford Sports news, event and ticket information.
Welcome to the game. Welcome to the show. Welcome to Sanford Sports Complex.
We’re glad you’re here.

Sanford Sports President

This season was history in the making at the Sanford Pentagon as we hosted our 100th NCAA Division I basketball game. We officially marked the occasion on Nov. 10 with a marquee matchup that featured Iowa State vs. Mississippi State men’s hoops and continued the celebration all year long.
From our first game in 2013 – where the No. 20 Wisconsin men’s team earned an 86-75 victory over St. John’s – to now, this milestone represents more than just a number. The last 12 years are a reflection of our commitment to a bold vision, hard work behind the scenes and, most importantly, a community of fans, partners and programs that have helped bring it to life.
Getting to 100 hasn’t always been easy, but it’s always been 100% worth the effort. When we opened our doors in September 2013, we knew we would face unique challenges. As a new and relatively unknown venue operating as part of a major health care system – based in a city without its own DI basketball program – Sanford Pentagon was unproven in the eyes of college sports. Our unique structure, however, soon became our key strength, as we remained agile in navigating major changes in collegiate athletics – through a global pandemic and the ever-evolving landscape of NIL, transfer portals and TV network protocols.
We’re incredibly grateful to the schools, teams, sponsors and partners who have trusted us along the way. Most of all, we’re thankful to the ones who fill these seats game after game – the fans who keep this place buzzing. Together, we have transformed these five walls of brick and mortar into a thriving hub for elite college sports – and so much more.
Here’s to 100 games; cheers to 100 more!
