Every so often, two horses and their riders trot past our house. My daughters rush out to see them and always ask, ‘Can we go riding one day?’ I always reply, ‘We’ll see!’

There’s a carrot hidd en on every p age of this wee k’s comic. Se e if you can fin d them all!
My eldest daughter knows that ‘We’ll see!’ can mean different things. Depending on the request it might mean ‘No chance!’, ‘Of course!’ or, most likely, ‘Mummy and Daddy need to look into it, make sure it’s safe and won’t be too expensive.’ I’ve been told that God answers our prayers in one of three ways: yes, no or not yet. I’m not sure how true that really is, but I do know that God answers some of my prayers with a very clear ‘Yes!’ or ‘No!’ However, occasionally it feels like I’m getting a ‘We’ll see.’ Remember, God loves us and wants the best for us – he’ll always give us the things we really need exactly when we need them. Sometimes we just need to wait.

READ THE COMMENT BELOW ABOUT HOW TO STAY IN TOUCH WITH JESUS
Keep Listening!
H
says Ibukun Baku
ave you ever been out when suddenly you lost sight of your parents? Did you eventually manage to find them? Maybe you could hear their voices in the distance. This used to happen to me all the time as a kid. But somehow I could always pick out my mum’s voice from the crowd and would follow it until I found her. In this week’s Bible cartoon, Jesus describes the special relationship between a shepherd and his sheep. The shepherd loves and cares for his sheep and the sheep trust him. So when a robber and stranger tries to trick them, they don’t listen because they know their shepherd’s voice – just like I knew my mum’s. In a similar way, Jesus is our
good shepherd, so we need to recognise his voice in our lives. As our shepherd, Jesus gave up his life so that we could have an eternal relationship with God. One way to enjoy that relationship is to spend time with God by praying and reading the Bible. The Bible is full of God’s words and it’s one of the ways God talks to us. Bible stories have a way of helping us to find the courage to face tough situations, peace when we’re feeling worried and wisdom to make the right decisions. Reading the Bible doesn’t have to be boring – just remember that the more time you spend with Jesus, the easier it’ll be to recognise his voice.
A-maze-ing Shepherd This little sheep has lost its way but can hear the shepherd calling. Help it find the correct route through the maze and back to the shepherd.
