Tennis players are amazing! They’re so fit and strong. They work with coaches and experts who help them get match-ready. However, once they’re on court, they’re all by themselves. Sure, their fans cheer them on, but only the players do the running, make the shots and win the points. Sometimes you see struggling players look up to the stands, hoping their coach can give them the inspiration they need. I have a great team of family, friends and colleagues helping me to be the best I can be, but sometimes I feel I’m trying to win the ‘game of life’ all by myself. I need to remember I have the most amazing coach – Jesus. Rather than sitting up in the stands, he’s right with me every step of the way, ready to help during the tough times and celebrate my victories too. I hope you’ve chosen Jesus to be your coach as well.

READ THE COMMENT BELOW ABOUT HOW IT’S NOT JUST GROWN-UPS WHO CAN BE ROLE MODELS
Who Are You Influencing?
B
eing a parent is a big responsibility! Since having my daughter three years ago, I feel like I spend a lot of time trying to make sure she eats the right food, shares with other children and generally learns how to be a kind and lovely person. A lot of that means that I have to think about how I behave and make sure I’m a good role model for her. However, I know I won’t be the only influence on her life. As she grows up there will be friends, teachers and even celebrities who she looks up to. So hopefully she’ll pick good role models! It’s not just grown-ups who can be role models.
by Cara Mott
Kids also have the power to influence people. As followers of Jesus, it’s up to all of us, whatever age we are, to show those around us the best way to live. In this week’s Bible cartoon, Paul tells Timothy not to let others treat him as unimportant because he’s young. When Jesus told his disciples in Matthew 28:19 to go and make people followers of Jesus, he didn’t say only grown-ups could do it! Have a look at the people around you this week – friends, family, neighbours. Who can you influence in a positive way, and maybe even help to learn more about being a follower of Jesus?
Choice Challenge Read the statements below and work out what are good choices and which are bad choices.

Praying with Jesus
with KA! JAM Co-ordinator Ibukun Baku
NOW YOU PRAY
Prayers are special because they’re an opportunity to share everything that’s on our minds with Jesus. Prayers have the power to change how we feel by filling us with hope and courage. In the Bible there are loads of examples of prayer changing people’s situations. In 1 Thessalonians 5:17, Paul encourages believers to always pray. Using stories from the Bible when Jesus prayed, we want to encourage you to pray too.
Use the space to write a prayer. Pray for people who are trying to do the right thing by making their communities and the world a fair and equal place for all but are often misunderstood.
Acts 21:17 to 22:29
When Paul and his friends arrived in Jerusalem, they were welcomed by their fellow Christians. However, some Jewish Christians were upset as they’d heard Paul no longer kept Jewish laws and was encouraging Gentiles (non-Jews) not to either. To convince them this wasn’t true Paul took part in a special ceremony. His plan didn’t work – a mob dragged him out of the Temple and the more Paul tried to explain the angrier they became. If you’re a KA! JAM member, check out your KAPAC 40 to read the full story or sign up below to start your KA! JAM journey

The blue tang fish – on which the adorable Pixar movie character Dory is based – are quite dangerous! They have razor-sharp barbs that stick out near their tails and their spines are poisonous. They can also be poisonous to eat, causing headaches, dizziness and even hallucinations – the toxins in their bodies come from plankton called dinoflagellates (dino-flaj-eh-lates), which they eat. Another fun fact is that when blue tang are young they are, in fact, bright yellow!

Let’s have some Wimble-fun! let’s The best way to enjoy the excitement of tennis is getting to a court and playing a few games yourself. However, if there isn’t a court near you, or you can’t get along to one, there are still ways to enjoy some tennis-themed fun. Check out the ideas below!
What a Racket!
If you haven’t got enough space to play a proper game of tennis, you can still use a tennis racket to create some other games. Who doesn’t like making bubbles? Have you ever tried making bubbles using a tennis racket? All you need is a bucket big enough to dip your racket in, and plenty of bubble mixture (or make your own using washing up liquid and water)!
Challenge yourself to see how many times you can bounce the ball up and down off the tennis racket. Can you beat your top score?
How about placing the bucket at the other end of your garden and seeing if you can hit a tennis ball into it? If you succeed, see if you can do it from further away.
Invite some friends to the park and stage a relay race while balancing a tennis ball on the racket. Who will be the winner ?

In May, BT launched Hope United – a diverse team of Home Nations football players who have come together to tackle online hate. With Euro 2020 in full swing, it’s expected that more people than ever will be commenting and sharing opinions online. The squad of superstars won’t actually be playing any matches, but they’ll be featuring in BT Tech Tips to help advise the nation on what digital skills are needed to tackle online hate. For the first time in 15 months, the children who attend the JAM (Jesus and Me) Club at Plymouth Congress Hall Salvation Army were able to meet up in person in a local park! They had been unable to meet together because of the coronavirus pandemic and also because the building they usually meet in is unavailable at the moment. During their park get-together the kids had fun playing several ball games and were treated to ice cream, which they all enjoyed! Now the better weather is here, they hope to be able to continue meeting outdoors and enjoying weekly activities again.
