A MESSAGE FROM LEADERSHIP Dear Salesian Community, At Salesian College Preparatory, we educate young people in the spirit of St. John Bosco, forming graduates who are committed to faith, learning, leadership, and service. Guided by Don Bosco’s enduring principles of reason, religion, and loving kindness, we strive to create an environment where each student is known, valued, and inspired to grow. Our community is built on the belief that education extends beyond the classroom. We foster a culture that supports each student academically, spiritually, and socially, while preparing them to lead with integrity and compassion. Whether in our classrooms, campus ministry, arts, or athletics, students are encouraged to discover their gifts and use them in service to others. This work is only possible through the generosity and partnership of our extended Salesian family. Your support allows us to sustain and strengthen programs that shape thoughtful leaders and engaged citizens, grounded in faith and committed to making a positive impact on the world. I encourage you to read this Impact Report which highlights the real changes we’ve made together and why your support matters now more than ever. See how your contributions shape our school’s future. Thank you for standing with us in this shared mission and for investing in the future of our students and community. In Don Bosco,
Stephen Pezzola ‘74 President

The Michael Oddo & Jennifer Oddo (MOJO) Pavilion The Michael Oddo & Jennifer Oddo Pavilion is an exciting and impactful addition to the school’s 21-acre campus. It will serve as both a landmark for Salesian community engagement and a central hub for student life. The MOJO Pavilion will be a multi-use facility featuring a 1,400-seat arena, a state-of-the-art dance studio, a fully equipped music center, an athletic training room, a strength and conditioning center and more. It is expected to be ready in the beginning of November 2026.
Naming opportunities are available in the new MOJO Pavilion
More than just a new building, the MOJO Pavilion is envisioned as a place where talents are nurtured, values are lived, and lasting memories are created. It will support our continued pursuit of excellence.
To learn more visit: https://www.salesian.com/oddo-pavilion
Our community has long dreamed of a new facility. The Wayne and Gladys Valley Foundation made the lead gift and Michael Oddo and Jennifer Oddo made this happen with their transformational gift enabling the construction of the Pavilion. Many others have stepped up and are continuing to do so to make the insides of the Pavilion something of which we can all be proud.

Amelio ‘25 Amelio grew up in a challenging area of Richmond where safety and opportunity were limited. Determined to provide a different path, in his son’s 8th grade year his father sought out a supportive school environment and found Salesian. He shared that many of his own childhood friends were either incarcerated or had lost their lives due to the challenges of their neighborhood, and he was committed to ensuring a different path for Amelio. Despite financial barriers, a Salesian Grant made it possible for Amelio to attend. With this support, Amelio thrived— earning a 3.8 GPA, serving as a Student Ambassador, and contributing to both the basketball and football teams. Known for his positivity and leadership, he became a role model among peers.
