Preschool Admissions Process BEGIN YOUR CHILDS LEARNING JOURNEY WITH US

1.

EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

Families submit an enquiry, interest form, or application to Saint Kentigern Preschool. Your children’s details are then grouped according to their intended intake year and term, determined by the date they turn three years old. Information will be held on file, and we will contact you when it is time to invite your family to attend an Admissions Tour.

2.

ADMISSIONS TOUR INVITATION

When your child is approximately 2 years old, your family will be invited to attend an Admissions Tour. This visit typically takes place around 12 months before your child's anticipated start date and provides an opportunity for us to meet your child and for your family to learn more about our preschool environment and programme.

3. ONLINE ENROLMENT APPLICATION Families may submit an online enrolment application at any time, and many choose to do so before attending an Admissions Tour. If an application has not already been submitted, families are welcome to complete one following their Admissions Tour if they wish to continue with the admissions process. Please note that enrolment applications for some intakes may close earlier than expected if available places have reached capacity.

4. WAIT POOL CONSIDERATION Children are only considered for placement in our wait pools once: ✓ An Admissions Tour has been completed ✓An online enrolment application has been submitted Applications are then reviewed in line with the Preschool's admissions criteria and the number of places available.

5. ADMISSIONS OUTCOME Families will receive an admissions outcome in the term following their Admissions Tour, generally around one year before their child turns three. Possible outcomes include: •

Offer of Place - A place is available for your child.

Wait Pool - Your child remains under consideration should places become available.
