Dear Friends,

Saint Anselm College nursing graduates continue to inspire us, and so do the many alumni, families, and friends who have supported the Jean School of Nursing and Health Sciences. As the College launched the School and opened its new home in Grappone Hall, your generosity helped us reach $39.2 million toward our $40 million JSNHS Campaign goal. We are profoundly grateful.

As we approach the successful completion of this historic effort, we are introducing #EverySACNurse as a way to celebrate the impact of Saint Anselm nurses and the community that stands behind them. We hope this moment encourages all who care about the future of nursing at Saint Anselm to feel connected to the campaign’s success. When every voice is represented, the story of this effort becomes even more meaningful.

Thank you for your generosity and partnership.

IMPACT REPORT / APRIL 2026

I INVESTMENT

Investing in Access: Endowed Scholarships for Tomorrow’s Caregivers. To ensure that talented students can access Jean School programs, campaign donors have contributed nearly $5 million in new endowed scholarship funds. These gifts strengthen the College’s ability to recruit and retain exceptional future nurses, clinicians, and health leaders—reducing financial barriers while supporting students who wish to serve their communities.

M MILESTONES

Growth in Faculty Leadership. This year, the Jean School added 11 new adjunct and clinical faculty members who enrich the School’s academic leadership, bringing fresh perspectives in clinical practice, scholarship, and student mentorship. Their arrival strengthens the School’s dedicated faculty community and reinforces the team as it continues to advance excellence in teaching and student support.

P PARTNERSHIPS

The MSN in Nursing Leadership and Innovation Program has partnered with the American Nurses Association’s (ANA) to advance nurse-led innovation and healthcare leadership, equipping our MSN students and faculty with patient centered skills that strengthen quality of care and improve health outcomes. Our MSN program is listed on the ANA website as a graduate degree program in nursing innovation.

A ACHIEVEMENTS

Learning Without Borders. This year, 16 Jean School junior nursing students helped provide care in underserved Costa Rican communities. Another 15 students participated in the Advanced Spanish Immersion Seminar in Granada, Spain, gaining experience in hospitals, schools, and community organizations. Students also represented the College at both the AACN Student Policy Summit and the American Public Health Association Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C.

C COMMUNITY COMMITMENT

Building an Inclusive Hilltop Through MooreTOGETHER. This fall, the Saint Anselm community formed a partnership with Manchester's Moore Center. Each week, 16 Fellows join 40 Saint Anselm students for conversations, meals in Davison, and collaborative learning in psychology, public health, and community nursing classes. MooreTOGETHER welcomes individuals with disabilities into the fabric of daily campus life in experiences where students and Fellows learn with and from one another.

TTRANSFORMATION

Expanding Access Through Conway Scholars

Thanks to the Bedford Falls Foundation-DAF, 56 students were named Conway Scholars this year, receiving support for their nursing education. More Scholars are expected next year as the program grows, benefiting from the Conway’s mission to remove barriers to a high-quality nursing education and address the critical nursing workforce shortage.

TRANSFORMING NURSING FUTURES TOGETHER

Saint Anselm College received a transformational $2.325 million gift from the Bedford Falls Foundation-DAF in 2025. This generous contribution supports Jean School of Nursing and Health Sciences scholarships, staffing resources, and student success funds.

The Bedford Falls Foundation was founded by philanthropists Bill Conway, Jr. and the late Joanne Barkett Conway to remove barriers to a high-quality nursing education and address the critical nursing workforce shortage. The Foundation, whose name is inspired by the movie “It’s a Wonderful Life,” has committed to helping educate 20,000 nurses across the United States, and their support already has helped more than 7,000 students graduate and enter the profession.

“This grant will make a life-changing Saint Anselm education possible.”
Joseph A. Favazza, Ph.D.

With this gift, the College established the Joanne and William Conway Nursing Scholarship to provide renewable scholarship awards. The first awards were made in Fall 2025 to 56 recipients known as Conway Scholars, with additional growth planned as the scholarship expands.

The Bedford Falls Foundation-DAF gift also supports an Academic Support and Retention Specialist dedicated to student advisement, academic coaching, and related programming. This position is pivotal in enhancing the academic success of undergraduate and graduate Jean School nursing students through targeted support and partnership with the Academic Resource Center.

Finally, the Joanne Barkett Conway Dean’s Discretionary Fund was created to support initiatives that advance nursing education and student success, while supporting the Jean School’s strategic focus on enhancing the student experience.

Currently, the Foundation is working with over 50 nursing school partners in 24 states, with over 4,000 Conway Scholars currently receiving support.

"The Saint Anselm College community is profoundly grateful for the Bedford Falls Foundation’s support," said Saint Anselm President Joseph A. Favazza. "This transformational investment reflects the Foundation’s belief in the power of education and its dedication to preparing future generations of compassionate and highly skilled nurses. The grant will make a life-changing Saint Anselm education possible for the students who entrust us with preparing them for their futures."
