ENROLLMENT CHECKLIST
Activate Your ARTIC Account
• Activate your account at password.artic.edu and receive your SAIC email account.
• Once activated, visit saic.edu/students to access Self-Service and your email.
Make Your Enrollment Deposit
• Pay your non-refundable $450 enrollment deposit by May 1 to accept your admission.
Apply for Financial Aid
• Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.gov to be considered for need-based financial aid, loans, and work-study. SAIC’s school code is 001753.
Apply for On-Campus Housing
• Housing invitations are sent on a rolling basis to admitted students after March 1. A $550 prepayment and a signed contract are required to secure housing.
Schedule a Registration Appointment
• Beginning April 1, visit saic.edu/regappt or call the Admissions office between 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. CT at 800.232.7242 or 312.629.6100 to schedule a registration appointment.
• Registration will begin May 1. Other registration options are available at saic.edu/ugnext.
Schedule a Financial Aid Appointment
• If you’ve applied for aid, after you’ve received your financial aid offer you should schedule a virtual, telephone, or in-person appointment online at saic.edu/sfs to review your award, complete a budget worksheet, and discuss your next steps.
Make Plans for Payment
• Make payment in full or enroll in a payment plan by the August 15 due date.
Immunizations and Health Insurance
• Illinois State law requires proof of general immunization for all college students enrolled for six or more credits per semester.
• Health insurance is required for all full-time domestic and international students.
• If you have comparable health insurance, visit saic.edu/healthinsurance for information about waiving coverage.
Laptop
• You will receive information in the coming months about SAIC’s laptop requirements, including details on technical specifications, price, and purchase options.
• You can find more details about the SAIC Laptop Program at saic.edu/laptop.
Send Final Transcripts
• Final official transcripts are due by August 15. For detailed instructions, visit saic.edu/ugnext.
Attend New Student Orientation and Welcome Weekend in August
• All new undergraduate students are required to complete New Student Orientation and attend Welcome Weekend programs.
