Flag Duty Grades: 4th - 5th

Elementary flag duty involves a group of students who take on the responsibility of raising and lowering the American flag at the beginning and end of each school day. This duty holds a symbolic significance as the flag represents the unity and values of the nation. Students who are selected for flag duty are seen as respectful and responsible individuals, entrusted with the task of handling the flag with care and adhering to proper flag etiquette. This duty not only instills a sense of patriotism and pride in the students but also teaches them about the importance of honoring national symbols and participating in civic responsibilities from a young age. All 4th-5th students have the opportunity to participate. Registration is not needed.

Odyssey of the Mind Grades: Kindergarten - 5th

Odyssey of the Mind (OM™) teaches students to develop and use their natural creativity to become problem-solvers. Imagine being faced with a problem that requires an original solution. It can be frightening. Now imagine not being afraid to solve that problem – that is what OM members learn. This skill and selfconfidence will carry over to all areas of their lives. OM brings the classroom to life as students apply what they learn and combine it with their interests and passions to solve unique open-ended problems. OM also emphasizes teamwork, budgeting, time management, public speaking, and more. This international program is designed to help students at all learning levels grow as individual learners and team members and reach their full potential. The program ends with a point-based competition hosted off-site in Palm Beach. Program Dues: $20

Monty's Morning Show Grades: 4th - 5th

All 4th and 5th grade students participate in Monty's Morning Show program. The show is broadcast live each day throughout all grade levels. As the show's leaders, students are responsible for all aspects of the production, including digital set design, lights, scripts, writing, etc. Students collaborate to write the daily script, provide technical support, and act as news anchors. Monty's Morning Show is a fun and powerful way for students to participate in leadership roles and share their positive school values with peers. All 4th-5th students will have the opportunity to participate in Monty's Morning Show. Registration is not needed. 5:00 - 5:30

VEX IQ TEAM: Grade Levels: 4th - 5th

Introducing the Sagemont Prep VEX Robotics Competitive Team. Alongside Code Ninjas, we're seeking enthusiastic learners to join us on this transformative adventure. Inspired by the rapidly evolving world of robotics and AI, we're on a mission to cultivate the next generation of innovators. Our exclusive Robotics Team promises the thrill of competition and a chance to grasp the vital skills of tomorrow. Engage in hands-on robot-building experiences, hone problem-solving abilities, foster critical thinking, and embrace teamwork in a challenging and rewarding environment. VEX IQ Team is by invitation only. Program Fee: $185 per month

Environmental Club Grade Levels: 3rd - 5th

The Environmental Club aims to increase awareness of environmental issues and provide opportunities within our community for students to develop responsibility, take positive action, make an impact, and protect and improve our environment for the future. Students in grades 3, 4, and 5 are invited to join the Environmental Club. Once selected, students will be required to attend regular meetings to discuss topics, participate in classroom educational lessons, and perform community service as a part of the program’s mission and vision during the school year. Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every month. Program Dues: $20

Student Council Grade Levels: 3rd - 5th

The student council is a representative body of students elected by their peers. Its primary purpose is to give young students a voice and a platform to actively participate in the decision-making process within their school community. The student council provides an avenue for students to express their ideas, concerns, and suggestions, fostering a sense of ownership and responsibility in shaping their school's environment. Members of the student council often organize and lead various events, fundraisers, and initiatives that aim to improve the school experience for all students. Through their involvement in the student council, elementary students learn valuable leadership skills, teamwork, and the importance of civic engagement from an early age. Beginning in 3rd grade, students may serve as class representatives. Fourth-grade students may choose to run for the office of vice president or treasurer. Fifth-grade students may choose to run for the office of president, secretary, or historian. Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of every month. Program Dues: $20

Safety Patrol: Grades: 4th - 5th

The Safety Patrol is a program designed to promote safety and responsibility among elementary school students. The safety patrol members are responsible for assisting their peers during arrival and dismissal times, as well as ensuring orderly conduct in hallways and on campus. They serve as role models by exhibiting proper behavior and emphasizing the importance of following rules to ensure the well-being of all students. By participating in the Safety Patrol, students not only gain a sense of leadership and community service but also contribute to a secure and organized school environment. This program instills values of accountability and teamwork while fostering a culture of safety awareness within the school community. All 4th-5th students will have the opportunity to participate in Safety Patrol. Registration not needed.

National Elementary Honor Society Grade Levels: 4th - 5th

The purpose of this reputable organization is to recognize students for their outstanding academic achievement, and personal responsibility, to provide service to the school and community, and to develop leadership skills in the students of elementary schools. Membership in a local chapter is an honor bestowed upon a student. Selection for membership is by a faculty council and is based on outstanding scholarship and responsibility. Once selected, members are responsible for continuing to demonstrate these qualities and participating in chapter activities to build experience and improve skills in leadership and service. Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month. N.E.H.S. is by invitation only. Program Dues: $20

Basketball Grades 4th - 5th; NOVEMBER - FEBRUARY Sagemont Prep’s competitive basketball program aims to create a supportive environment where students can develop their basketball skills, enhance their physical fitness, and cultivate essential values such as teamwork, discipline, respect, and perseverance. Our competitive program does require prerequisites and a tryout. Program Fee: $50 Little Lions Cheerleading Grades 1st - 5th; OCTOBER - MARCH We’ve got Lion spirit; yes, we do! We’ve got Lion spirit, how about you?! Our Little Lion cheer team is a unique and engaging pep squad that runs from October until the end of March for grades 1-5. Our Little Lions cheer team has the opportunity to cheer on our Varsity athletic teams, such as Volleyball, Basketball, and Baseball. The Little Lions cheer team practices and performs with the Upper Campus Cheer Team and looks forward to having a mentorship program with our Sagemont Prep Varsity team! Our Little Lions cheer team has had the opportunity to perform at the Marlins and Panthers games in previous years. This upcoming school year, we look forward to continuing our partnership with the Florida Panthers as we will be performing at their arena again and partnering up with the Florida Panthers Dance Team! We are a growing cheer family and look forward to having new faces join our amazing and loving team! Tryouts not required. Chess Club: Grades Pre-K - 5th *Grouped by skill level The main objective of this program is to use chess as a tool to improve your child’s self confidence, imagination, concentration and intuition, while developing logical, critical thinking, and reasoning skills. The course follows a project-task approach, and has appropriate activities according to the student's age and level! Program Fee: $285

Gourmet Kids: Grades PreSchool - 5th Gourmet Kids is a delightful cooking class enrichment program designed for young children. Our focus is on fun projects that teach nutrition and good eating habits while sparking creativity in the kitchen. Our expert instructors create a nurturing environment where kids can explore hands-on activities. Beyond recipes, we educate children about the nutritional value of different ingredients, empowering them to make healthier food choices. Gourmet Kids encourages a love for cooking through interactive and engaging sessions, promoting essential kitchen skills and a broader appreciation for diverse flavors. Midtown Tennis: Grades 2nd - 5th *Grouped by skill level VELOCITY is the complete tennis program for your child’s development. VELOCITY aims to provide the best tennis instruction in tactical and technical skills, athletic skill development, supervised practice, and competitive skills training. Plus, we host social events and competitions to enhance your child’s experience. While some programs focus on just tennis lessons, VELOCITY connects kids both on and off the court to make their tennis experience an all-encompassing one. VELOCITY fills the gaps where other programs fall short in meeting the needs of players and parents. Whether it be through partnering with you in your child’s development or by looking at the way kids learn in today’s world, our Program Fee: $330 *7 week session

Simple Silly Science Grades 2nd - 5th Discover the wonders of science with fun and lively experiments designed to spark your imagination. You’ll obtain your special lab clearance to learn important science skills and processes and share and discuss your observations with fellow young scientists. Discover the awesome answers to many science and other fascinating mysteries in this class! New experiments every cycle! Program Fee: $315 iCAN: LEGO Robotics Grades 1- 5th Join our LEGO® SPIKE™ Essential quest and engage in hands-on investigation of STEAM concepts. Enjoy the experience with use everyday themes, relatable minifigures with different personalities and familiar LEGO® building elements to solve problems through storytelling. Bonus: all this fun contributes to your literacy, math, and social-emotional development. Program Fee: $315

Little Genius Grades PS - 1st Join our STEM Jr. club to engage in a meaningful learning experience with a set of fun educational toys that will spark your interest in science! Learn about physics and momentum, aerodynamics, architecture, chemistry, kinetic and potential energy, and so much more. Program Fee: $315 Show Choir: Grades 3rd - 5th Show Choir uses movement and costumes with a thematic idea, with music ranging from pop to show tunes. It is a musical ensemble that combines choral singing with choreographed dancing, often with an overarching theme. Students are exposed to music and theatre in a fun and interactive way, and props and costumes during rehearsal time make it even more exciting. Students perform and are the main leads during the Winter and Spring seasons with additional Show Choir specific performances. We attend city events, field trips, in-school presentations, and yearly events. Students develop techniques in acting, singing, sight reading, blending, stage presence, choreographies, improvisation, and more during class. Teachers work hand in hand with the students and parents, and students learn how to work individually and collaboratively. Program Fee: $50

Drone Flight School: Grades 3rd - 5th The drone workshop aims to train young people in the knowledge of avante-garde aircraft through 4 fully interactive modules using the STEM methodology. This workshop allows young people between the ages of 3rd and 5th grade to learn to operate drones from a controlled space, projecting and encouraging their capabilities to the markets of the future, which have significant economic and progress potential for the related careers that will be born around these aircrafts. Program Fee: $315 Sporty Kids Grades PS - 1st Sporty Kids is the ultimate enrichment sports program designed to introduce young children to the world of sports and physical fitness in a fun and engaging way. Each week, we offer a variety of sports and activities, like basketball, football, baseball, tennis, cross-fit and more. With our unique approach, we promise an unforgettable first time sports experience for preschool age kids to stay active, have fun, and develop invaluable life skills. Program Fee: $300 Florida Fire Soccer: Grades PK - K, 1st - 3rd The Florida Fire Soccer Club is a family-oriented organization committed to helping each player learn, grow, and passionately love the game of soccer. It is dedicated to developing character, integrity, and personal growth for the youth player, student-athlete, and future leader. It serves the community with a continuing tradition of fun and excellence in developing players, coaches, and teams. The Club features development and skill training for boys and girls of all ages and the development and continuing licensing education for all of our coaches. We always welcome volunteer opportunities within our Club or to provide community service within our city. Our organization is committed to developing every player to their highest potential and encourages players to compete at the highest level of their ability. Wilderness Medicine School Grades 2nd - 5th In this after-school enrichment program, students will explore some of the dangers in the wild such as bug bites, snake bites, and poisonous plants. These future emergency medics will learn how to splint a broken leg, tie a tourniquet, filter dirty water, the effects of hypothermia, and 20 ways to use a bandana in emergencies. They will learn about topics such as first aid for various situations and infectious diseases. We will begin with a white coat ceremony and end with an informal graduation ceremony! Program Fee: $360 Little Doctor Grades PS - K In this after-school enrichment program, students will learn the key responsibilities of a doctor and explore the heart, lungs, and digestion through role-play and activities. Students will use real medical instruments (stethoscope, reflex hammer, and blood pressure cuff) and practice scrubbing, suturing, and tying knots like a real surgeon. They will learn about topics such as the heart, lungs, digestion, first aid, the brain, and more. We will begin with a white coat ceremony and end with an informal graduation ceremony! Program Fee: $360 Little Veterinarian Grades PS - K In this after-school enrichment program, students will "adopt" their very own plush puppy and role-play the key responsibilities of a veterinarian, including how to properly perform a nose-to-tail exam. These future veterinarians will learn how to sew stitches, remove ticks, make healthy treats, and vaccinate their dogs. They will learn about topics such as nutrition, hydration, lacerations, administering medications, and more. We will begin with a white coat ceremony and end with an informal graduation ceremony! Program Fee: $360 Little Inventors Grades K - 3rd In this “inventive” program, students design and create solutions to problems, teaming up to identify the need for a new invention, and producing real structures and solutions. In one STEM challenge, students build bridges using a variety of materials and experiment with how much weight they can hold. Students will also learn about famous inventors, and discuss how inventions improve our lives. Program Fee: $320

Flag Football SESSION 3: April 1st - May 31st Grades 4th - 5th Are you ready to run, pass, and score touchdowns in a fun and friendly environment? Look no further! Our Flag Football program is the perfect place for young athletes to learn the fundamentals of football, develop teamwork skills, and stay active. Our Flag Football program is designed for athletes who are eager to learn the game of football in a safe and inclusive atmosphere. We focus on teaching the basics of passing, catching, and teamwork while emphasizing sportsmanship and fair play. Program Fee: $285 Swim Grades 1st - 5th In this swim program, dedicated and certified coaches prepare and enhance the skills of our young athletes for our Upper Campus Competitive Swim Team. To participate on the team, an evaluation of swimming abilities will be required. The focus of the program will be on building proper techniques, endurance, and confidence in the water. Beyond swimming, our team instills valuable life skills such as discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. Program Fee: $285

Sagemont Prep Conservatory of the Arts All Conservatory of the Arts classes are open to the community. Sagemont Preparatory students will have preferred access to the classes of their choice. Beginner Piano Lab: This class is designed for students with little or no keyboard experience who want to learn basic keyboard skills. Basic notation, theory, technique, sight-reading, repertoire, harmonization, improvisation, and ensemble activities are taught thoroughly and consistently. Students will learn basic piano playing skills, which include proper playing position, note names, and the locations of the notes on the staff about their placement on the keyboard. Harmonically, students will learn to identify, construct and play note intervals, major, minor, and chromatic scales and construct and perform major and minor chords on basic keys. Students will be introduced to ear training, dynamics, articulation markings, and notation symbols as they learn to interpret a variety of pieces in different styles with appropriate characteristic tones. Program Fee: $330 Music for Little Beethovens: In this dynamic and interactive class, your child will embark on a musical journey filled with creativity, exploration, and the joy of learning to play the piano. Student talents will flourish as they learn, create, and connect through the enchanting world of piano music giving your young pianist the gift of music that will last a lifetime! Price: $330 Drawing and Painting: Students will develop a further understanding of drawing and painting techniques used to create masterpieces. Students will experiment with various drawing tools such as pencils, markers, colored pencils, charcoal, and brushes. Students will learn about different techniques, artists, and the color wheel with its endless combinations. Students will be introduced to the seven elements of art and principles of design so they can create their own style of artwork. Students will develop fine motor and critical thinking skills and expand their appreciation for other art forms and communities worldwide. Price: $330 Sculpture: This class focuses on developing ideas, conceptual reasoning, and safely using materials and processes associated with classical and contemporary sculpture. Students will work on a sequence of assignments exploring both formal and conceptual issues. This class covers non-functional ceramics and ways to use clay to create sculptures. Students create freestanding, handmade pieces using sculptural techniques, including coil building, form molding, and carving, and work with simple clay forms. Price: $330 Jewelry Construction: Have you ever seen an amazing piece of beaded jewelry and wondered how it was made? Now you have the chance to learn the art and secrets! Learn how to create incredible necklaces, earrings, and bracelets that you’ll love wearing and sharing. The class concludes with a chance to showcase your jewelry at our very own fashionable jewelry show! Price: $330

Sagemont Prep Conservatory of the Arts Guitar and Violin: Sunset Strings Academy sets the foundation for young students to begin learning stringed instruments in a fun, age-appropriate way. Our mission is to teach children to work together harmoniously to achieve their goals of learning to play the guitar or violin. Educational studies have shown that introducing music to a child’s life will benefit them socially and emotionally and help build confidence, friendships, and a genuine appreciation for music. We are a unique ensemble of extraordinary Music Specialists focused on mentoring string orchestral students in a safe, loving environment conducive to serenity, peace, and mindfulness. Instruments are not included and must be bought or rented prior to class. Price: $330 Ballroom Dance: Students who have had little or no instruction in these styles of dance should begin their instruction here. The purpose of this class is to build confidence and gain additional dance experience with a partner. This class introduces students to the art and styles of social ballroom dancing and provides the necessary skills and understanding for an appreciation of the artistic, social qualities and etiquette needed for each of the dances. Price: $340 Ceramics: In this hands-on intensive, students will master techniques including throwing pots, sculpting clay, firing pieces, and glazing, creating sturdy ceramic structures while conducting a creative design process. Students will also learn to properly use ceramic materials and tools such as spinning wheels, kilns, and other hand-crafting sculpting tools to achieve their creative vision with the ceramic medium. Our Before & After School Programs offer students enriching opportunities for discovery and exploration before and after the normal school day hours. These programs provide numerous options for fun while also reinforcing the essential lessons and values taught throughout the school day. From the simple pleasures of sports and games to the more complex STEM and engineering projects – students will receive a one-of-a-kind experience they’ll look forward to each day. Extended Day Our Extended Day program allows busy working families the flexibility to drop-off before the school day starts and pick-up after the normal dismissal time. Our program is organized into five subject areas that are designed to provide your child with opportunities to learn valuable life skills, and to reinforce the skills they’re learning during the school day, while providing plenty of time for fun with friends.
